Crypto Buyers
Crypto buyers share the same age group as Climate Emergency activists
A 2021 United Nations Development Program report (UNDP) reflected on the expansion of youth engagement, leadership, and activism on climate change. In every country, more young people (under-18) than older people (over 60) said they thought climate change was an emergency. However, people in two other age groups – 18 to 35 and 36 to 59 – were not far behind young people, with 65% and 66% support, respectively.
A recent study by STILT (STILT, 2022) found that the vast majority of crypto buyers were millennials (76%; 25-40 years old) and Gen Z (17%; 18-24 years old). Consequently, this data suggests that crypto currency buyers and blockchain users will be among the most climate-sensitive customers.
