Holding EUAs as a recognized way to reach net-zero
Holding European Union Allowances (EUAs) has become a recognized valid way to achieve net-zero emission targets set by the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative. Further, the IIGCC, a representative body of 236 top pension funds around the world, managing $33 trillion, has decreed that they will recognize compliant carbon emission trading schemes in the quest of their members to reach their net-zero targets. Conversely, they have decided not to recognize unregulated voluntary carbon offsets.
